This document lists the barley and wheat activities planned by ICARDA and CIMMYT scientists for the 1990/91 season. The different activities are presented following the format adopted in previous seasons. For each of the barley, durum wheat, and bread wheat crops, the research experiments are grouped according to whether they relate to breeding, physiology/agronomy, pathology, entomology, biotechnology, or grain quality. Most of these experiments have a breeding focus and a frequency of a continuing nature. Included also are some special studies with a more limited life span. The first three sections (PP 1.-105) deal with the improvement of spring -habit barley, durum wheat, and bread wheat. The following two sections (pp.106-137) deal with the improvement of winter and facultative cereal crops, the first emphasizing barley, and durum wheat and the second dealing exclusively with bread wheat. These two sections reflect the CIMMYT/ICARDA Agreement with respect to collaboration in the improvement of winter and facultative cereals for WANA.ICARDA is responsible for barley and CIMMYT for wheat. Collaborative work not included in the earlier sections follows in collaborative projects (pp 138-154) and International nurseries (pp 155-156). The section on training completes the report.en_US
