dc.description.abstractThis catalog, presents data on germplasm that has been evaluated under rainfed conditions at ICARDA’s research station at Tel Hayda, near Aleppo , Syria. In accordance with the system of descriptors recommended by the International Board for Plant Genetic Resources (IBPGR), each entry has been scored for its morphological, physiological and quality characteristics. Substantial genetic variability has been found for all the traits that have been studied. For each trait, the more promising entries are identified. Earliness and tolerance/resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses are particularly important in efforts to maximize yield and improve its stability.en_US
