Improved lines are both developed locally and received from CIAT headquarters in Colombia. Initial testing of lines has often been carried out with the national program of Rwanda, and in CIAT’s facilities within the campus of the Ugandan national program in Kawanda Research Station. Testing sites are now expanding to the highlands of western Uganda in KachweKano, and in northwest Tanzania in the Kagera regionen_US
