| dc.description.abstract | These guidelines are elaborated in the specific context in which CBBP’s are run in Ethiopia. Following an overview of the anatomical and physiological aspects of reproduction in sheep and goats that are important to AI, these guidelines describe the conditions for the set-up of low infrastructure, mobile laboratories, the choice of inseminated females and their oestrus synchronization and all other steps, e.g. sires’ training, semen collection, evaluation and processing as well as semen deposition. Other aspects such as the pos-insemination management and the assessment of success of AI are also reviewed. | en_US |
