| dc.description.abstract | This brief on conflict resolution and peace building in the Greater Horn of Africa region (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda) takes the pastoralist communities living in these countries as its focus of prime concern. The analysis is based on the premise that sustained violent conflict represents failure of social relations and institutions at multiple levels of society (local, national and regional) acting on one another. It pays attention to the realms of governance institutions, citizen–state relations and the politics of resource allocation. | en_US |
