dc.description.abstractAlfalfa is the main forage crop in both irrigated and rainfed (mountain areas) conditions in Tajikistan. It has several advantages compare to other fodder crops. It can be given 5-8 cuts per year. The total hay production for three years will be 400 – 600 q/ha. d) Alfalfa crop can remain more than 20 tonnes of organic matter and 500-800 kg/ha biological nitrogen and phosphorus.en_US
