dc.description.abstract• The experimental material consisted of eight lines (two drought tolerant, ICC 14778 and ICCV 10; two drought sensitive, ICC 3776 and ICC 7184; two heat tolerant, ICC 1205 and ICC 15614; and two heat sensitive, ICC 4567 and ICC 10685) grown in four environments (irrigated, drought stress, heat stress and drought x heat stress). Irrigated crop in post-rainy season of 2014-15 constituted normal environment; rainfed crop of 2014-15 post-rainy season constituted drought stress; irrigated crop in summer 2015 constituted heat stress (no drought) and partially irrigated crop in summer 2015 constituted drought x heat stress conditions. All the materials were planted in RCBD with three replications and separate randomization was followed for each set and growing conditions.en_US
