Under the CRP Livestock, ICARDA has developed key indicators and tools for enhanced grazing management. The findings were based on scientific evidence and were solicited by national (OEP: Office of Livestock and Pastures) as well as international (PRODEFIL: IFAD funded project) developing agencies operating in southern Tunisia. The tools developed are part of the Sustainable Rangeland Management (SRM) toolkit. The toolkit aims at assisting land managers and pastoralists decide whether a particular rangeland site can be grazed or not. Furthermore, the rangeland inventorying, monitoring, and assessment (RIMA) tool, illustrate steps needed for an efficient data collection to estimate carrying capacity. This document provides sample of official requests in local languages (Arabic and French) from various stakeholders to assist them implementing the toolkit while forming their staff (on-the-job training).en_US
