Brief to the documentation of innovations with supplement

Abstract

This brief covers mainly the presentation of four digital resources: the Rural Solution Portal, Panorama Solutions Portal, MEL Platform, and World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) Global SLM Database. This sample reflects how the ecosystem of digital resources for documentation is nuanced and diverse, addressing audiences ranging from public to practitioners. This brief also addresses the why to the documentation of innovations, the challenges and benefits of documentation, the purpose and audience of each digital resource and a comparative assessment of the digital resources. This guide was developed during a Knowledge Management Research Fellowship with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Team at ICARDA during 2020-2021, focused on the documentation of ICARDA’s innovations. In 2023, a supplement for FAO’s TECA database was added.
