There is a need to test different varieties and hybrid combinations in varied agro ecologies prevailing in major pigeonpea growing regions to find out suitability and adaptability of the cultivars. In Pigeonpea Genotype x E interaction plays a vital role in identifying the potential varieties and hybrids for the respective niches. The elite cultivars identified in station trials will be evaluated in multi-location trials. The best varieties and hybrids from these trials will be identified and carried forward for on farm testing and release.en_US
