The documents presents the Impact of research technologies diffusion to empowering Women and Youth in the Malian Dryland Systems (WASDS-Flagship). The goal is to sharing the results with CGIAR gender platform and raise awareness on the Drylands Systems research contribution on both women and youth empowerment adaption and using the Abbreviated Women Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI). The results showed that the WEAI, which is combination of the five Domains of Empowerment (5DE) and Gender Parity Index (GPI) is equal 0.76 in the intervention against 0.69 for the control zone, placing the DS intervention zone in the middle class [0.73-0.84] and the control zone in the lower class empowerment <=0.72. The domains that contribute most to women's dis-empowerment are lack of leadership (30.1%) and access to credit and productive resources (19.9%) in the intervention zone as well in the control zone. The analysis based on the censored headcount revealed that 56.5% of non-empowered women have inadequate scores for access to credit in the area of intervention and 53.1% for group membership, suggestion targeted action to filling this gender gap.en_US
