| dc.description.abstract | Livestock production is an important contributor to livelihoods within rural areas and accounts for close to half of Afghanistan’s agricultural GDP. Key constraints to ruminant production are insufficient feed stocks, lack of access to seed of improved forage varieties, poorly developed feed and seed markets, and insufficient knowledge among producers and service providers (GIRoA, 2009). This paper provides brief information on the current state of the livestock and forage production in Afghanistan. | en_US |
