WOCAT - Knowledge Management & Communication Strategy & Plan

Abstract

In this document, the Knowledge Management & Communication (KMC) relevance, processes and operations for the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) initiative are detailed. The KMC elements here presented are inscribed in the framework of the initiative, the specific scientific and partnering contexts WOCAT acts in, the capacity building and the awareness raising efforts jointly conducted with the UN bodies, WOCAT Consortium Partners, WOCAT Regional Clusters and WOCAT Members. The KMC Strategy & Plan is designed to support WOCAT capacity to engage a worldwide audience on the themes of Sustainable Land Management (SLM) and more broadly of sustainable development while expanding the outreach of the scientific, technological and training services provided by the WOCAT Global Network of partners and members.
