This paper considers how different categories of marginal lands and mineralized waters can contribute to create additional nutrition values for livestock and agropastoral communities through cultivation of arid/semiarid salt loving plants (halophytes) and salt tolerant non-traditional crops. An attempt has been taken to describe different categories of marginal lands and identify economical value (biomass potential in particular) of each land category to improve winter forage production for livestock feeding.en_US
