CGIAR Challenge Program on Water and Food - Improving livelihood resilience by integrated natural resource management in upper catchments of dry areas (pn24) and improving on-farm agricultural water productivity in the Karkheh River Basin (pn8). This study has several major components: an assessment and mapping of the agricultural environments in the entire Karkheh River Basin (KRB): the setting of the selected benchmark sites for the two Challenge Program projects in relation to these environments: and the mapping of the possible out-scaling domains (from a biophysical perspective) at the level of the Karkheh River Basin.
